NBC coverage of the opening of the Olympics 2008 was an ethnocentric bonanza; the magnificent opening countries parade was reduced to who is a freind of the US and who is an enemy, NBC coverage violated the spirit of the biggest sporting event in the world, this tradition that was masted by the Greecs was ploiticized and commercialized by the American network. Disappointing to say the least
