Karen Monahan / Her personal journey to find her Iranian family and roots Karen completed the Wellstone Fellows Program and began working with EJAM (Environmental Justice Advocates of Minnesota) in the summer of 2006. She is currently an EJ Sierra Club organizer working with EJAM. (EJAM advocates for fair treatment and meaningful involvement of communities of color and low-income communities in the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulation, and policies for the purpose of eliminating minority health disparities). She was asked to be the co-coordinator of 2008 Wellstone Fellows Program. She was one of the first Green for All Academy students and continues to work closely with Green for All. FBI (Falafel behavior Invistigation) The FBI sifted through customer data collected by San Francisco-area grocery stores in 2005 and 2006, hoping that sales records of Middle Eastern food would lead to Iranian terrorists.
